Understand viewing angles, zoom, privacy and smart-home limitations.

Compare the same kind of angle

A horizontal field of view, a diagonal field of view and a motorised pan range describe different things. Argus 4 Pro advertises a 180° horizontal panorama; D225 advertises a 180° diagonal view. A camera rotating around a room does not see every direction simultaneously. The table keeps those distinctions visible.

Read the integration limits

Aqara G3 has a 2304 × 1296 sensor, but HomeKit Secure Video uses 1080p and does not expose pan/tilt controls. That may be a fair trade for an Apple household, but it should be a deliberate choice. Check the camera’s native app separately from the smart-home platform you plan to use.

Make privacy part of installation

Decide when indoor recording should stop, who can view the stream and which zones should be excluded. Aqara documents physical lens masking; eufy documents privacy mode. These are useful controls, not permission to record other people without considering consent, local rules and the camera’s line of sight.
